Our client, Ibis Technology, is a growing Perth-based business that designs, installs and maintains custom laboratory water systems. Their clients include some of the most respected names in pathology, mining and research such as Clinipath, Path West, Intertek, SGS, UWA and Curtin University. 
This full-time position would suit someone with solid mechanical aptitude and practical, hands-on skills who enjoys variety in their work. You'll become a key part of a small, supportive team that values its people, gives you time to do the job properly, and encourages continual improvement. 
About the Role 
This is not just a service job. You'll split your time between on-site service and workshop builds, giving you variety in your day-to-day responsibilities. The role includes: 
Preventative and breakdown maintenance of laboratory water systems across Perth 
Constructing and commissioning recent systems 
Collaborating with engineers to improve system design 
Workshop-based system builds and van/tool improvements 12 days per week 
Quarterly travel to Bunbury or Geraldton for site support

What You'll Bring 
Strong mechanical skills and confidence using power tools 
Problem-solving ability and a willingness to get stuck in 
WA drivers' license, White Card, and clean police clearance 
Basic computer skills (email, job logging) 
Physical capability to lift 25-30kg 
Previous service technician or water treatment experience (highly regarded) 
Bonus Skills (Highly Regarded but Not Essential) 
Experience with water systems: sand filters, softeners, pumps, RO, ion exchange 
Plumbing ability using ABS, UPVC or stainless steel 
Hands-on experience with cabinetry, aluminum profiles or workshop machinery
