About the Climate Resilient Communities (CRC)
CRC aims to ensure people in the Indo-Pacific are more resilient to climate change and disasters.
Led by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), CRC supports implementation of Australia's climate change commitments and International Development Policy, in line with partner government priorities. It incentivises funding towards inclusive climate and disaster resilience programming, with a focus on the water, food, and energy sectors.
DT Global has been engaged by DFAT to support implementation of CRC.
About the Role
MEL consultants will provide high-quality technical and strategic MEL advice and capacity development across Indo-Pacific countries. Consultants work on program activities and plans at the regional or country level, with DFAT staff, partner governments and implementing partners across DFAT's climate portfolio.
About You
CRC is looking for consultants with skills, expertise and experience in:
* MEL frameworks and plans
* Climate and disaster resilience and gender equality, disability and social inclusion
* Agriculture, food security, water resource management, WASH, and energy
* Theory of Change (ToC) and Program Logic models
* Capability development and capacity uplift
* Localisation and locally led approaches
* Data collection and analysis, including qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods
* Progress reporting, performance measurement and quality assurance processes
* Program evaluation and review
* Knowledge and learning
Selection Criteria
* International development programs experience
* Experience living and/or working in Indo-Pacific countries
* Familiarity with DFAT requirements
* Understanding of gender equality, disability equity and rights, social inclusion
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to work in teams, cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary
* Proven ability to develop capacity of others
* Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant fields
Engagement & Remuneration
Successful candidates will be placed on the panel managed by DT Global. Opportunities will be made available to members on an as-needed basis. Each time a consultant on the Panel is offered an assignment, a services order will be signed outlining the terms of the assignment.
