Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead regional maintenance operations across essential energy infrastructure based in Alice Springs. This senior leadership role oversees preventative and corrective maintenance programs, asset reliability and the performance of multidisciplinary mechanical and electrical teams.
In this influential role, you will drive maintenance strategy, optimise plant performance and support the safe, reliable delivery of energy services across the region.
About the Role
You will oversee long‑term and short‑term maintenance planning, scheduling, resourcing and execution. Working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and specialist service providers, you will deliver major works, outages and improvement initiatives.
Your leadership will support team capability development, a strong safety culture, effective maintenance programs and compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead mechanical and electrical maintenance teams to deliver safe, reliable operations
* Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling and inventory to support plant reliability
* Work with internal and external teams to deliver major works and outages
* Support succession planning, contingency planning and continuous improvement
* Implement long‑term maintenance strategies to optimise asset performance
* Promote positive team culture and support organisational objectives
* Maintain compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements
Selection Criteria - Essential
* High‑level leadership and managerial capability with ability to influence change
* Experience in long‑term and short‑term maintenance planning using maintenance systems
* Strong communication and negotiation skills across technical and cultural groups
* Experience in safety, quality, environmental management and continuous improvement
* Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions and take timely action
* Strong organisation and professionalism managing multiple priorities
* Experience in power generation or heavy industrial environments
* Ability to meet safety, environmental and quality requirements
Desirable
* Relevant electrical or mechanical trade/engineering qualifications
* Leadership or management training or qualifications
* Experience in large‑scale heavy industrial environments
