Senior Infrastructure Architect
Group IT provides technology strategy, governance, delivery, and support for all of Toll. The team enable Toll with the right technology foundations and business systems to grow the business and support our customer needs.
The Role
Join Our Team as a Senior Infrastructure Architect
As a Senior Infrastructure Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and guiding the global infrastructure strategy across IT Services. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, you'll provide architectural direction and ensure alignment with enterprise goals, while also serving as a key liaison between IT and the business. You will lead the development of high- and low-level infrastructure designs across cloud, network, and end-user computing domains, ensuring they meet evolving business and program needs. This role demands a strategic thinker who can identify lifecycle opportunities, evaluate solution alternatives, and drive technology blueprints and roadmaps that support enterprise-wide transformation.
To be successful as a Senior Infrastructure Architect, you will need to:
1. Hybrid & Multi-Cloud Architecture Leadership -Design and implement hybrid/multi-cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and on-premises, aligned with enterprise strategies.
2. Strategic Advisory & Governance -Collaborate with domain experts and senior leaders, contribute to governance boards (IDA, ASRB), and ensure compliance with standards.
3. Cloud Networking & Security Frameworks - Architect secure cloud networks using Azure vWAN, AWS VPCs, and hybrid solutions; implement IAM/RBAC, secure key management, and compliance frameworks.
4. Cloud-Native & Infrastructure Design - Build microservices with containers and serverless platforms; design scalable infrastructure solutions aligned with enterprise architecture.
* Integration, Observability & Automation - Implement event-driven integrations, observability tools (Azure Monitor, AWS CloudWatch), and IaC using Terraform, Bicep, and CloudFormation.
* Cost Optimization & Stakeholder Engagement - Drive FinOps strategies for cost efficiency and collaborate with stakeholders to translate technical concepts into business impacts.

* Bachelor's Degree in IT, Business or a related discipline
* ITIL Certification
Skills and Experience
* Infrastructure & Cloud Architecture Expertise - Skilled in designing infrastructure and cloud solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles and governance frameworks.
* Cloud Platforms & Hybrid Strategies - Proficient in AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with deep experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments, migration, and optimization.
* Solution Design & Integration - Strong capability in building scalable, secure, and integrated solutions across cloud, network, and on-premises systems.
* Stakeholder Engagement & Communication - Adept at translating technical concepts into business language and collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
* Technology Strategy & Evaluation - Experienced in assessing emerging technologies, leading proof of concepts, and contributing to strategic roadmaps and business cases.
* Leadership, Governance & Compliance - Proven leadership in cross-functional teams, with solid knowledge of IT governance and compliance standards, including board-level presentations.
