The opportunity
Our client is looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to guide a small, high-impact product engineering team as they evolve a multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will set direction, mentor developers and stay close to the code to deliver resilient, scalable services that move business outcomes.
What you will do
- Partner with operations, compliance and senior leaders to turn real use cases into clear technical designs and shipped value
- Drive service architecture and help split a large application into well-bounded services
- Set coding standards, test strategy and CI conventions the team can sustain
- Design secure RESTful APIs and integrations and steward data models for performance and integrity
- Mentor developers, remove blockers and lift delivery quality
- Contribute to reliability and shared operational support
Tech environment
TypeScript,, React, Jest. MongoDB as the primary store with Amazon Aurora on RDS where relational patterns fit. AWS across Elastic Beanstalk, ECS Fargate, Lambda and Step Functions. Infrastructure is managed with AWS CloudFormation. CI for deployments exists. Automated testing and pipeline maturity are being lifted.
What you will bring
- 8+ years in software engineering with strong TypeScript and
- Proven leadership in decomposing monoliths and defining service boundaries
- Deep MongoDB experience across modelling, indexing and performance tuning
- Strength in secure API design and third-party integrations
- Clear communicator who enjoys shaping requirements directly with business stakeholders
- Experience mentoring engineers and improving delivery flow and test practices
Working pattern
Sydney. Hybrid. In office Tuesday to Thursday.
