Right now, we're seeking an Impairments Support who will play their part in this shared purpose, while also supporting the progress of clients and colleagues so they can achieve great things. That's truly rewarding work that will help us continue to deliver life-critical services where it matters.
**About the role**
Impairment Support is an administrative team dedicated to enabling the three Impairment Benefit Coordinator teams within the branch. These teams collaborate to facilitate client outcomes for impairment claims.
The support provided includes active end to end administration of the medico-legal process, actioning high volume tasks, such as booking appointments, the enabling of our internal Joint Medical Examinations process, booking travel and accommodation, arranging interpreters, liaising with third parties, rescheduling of examinations and ensuring that medico-legal reports are received in a timely manner.
In addition, they ensure that medical examinations have sufficient information to be able to proceed, ensuring that the appropriate client authorities are on file, sending letters of instruction and requesting clinical information from a variety of sources.
The role also includes managing the team's incoming and outgoing correspondence through multiple group inboxes, with triaging of this work being a significant part of their daily responsibilities.
Overall, Impairment Support serves as the backbone of the Impairment Branch, providing essential administrative functions that prepare files for the Impairment Benefit Coordinators to review and assess clients' entitlements to impairment benefits.

The Impairments Support role sits within the Impairment and Medical Examinations branch. You will join a close-knit, supportive team who are committed to achieving positive client outcomes for those injured in transport accidents. You will be supported by the Team Manager, Impairment Support, who encourages a collaborative team culture, innovative problem solving and growth of their employees.

**Demonstrated Administration Experience**
- Skilled in processing and prioritising a high volume of tasks in an agile, client services environment. You will be organised and dedicated to delivering quality work on time, with strong database management skills and advanced proficiency in MS Word and related technologies._
**Highly Developed Interpersonal Skills**
- Adept at effectively communicating and building relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders. You will possess strong written and verbal communication abilities._
**Collaborative Team Member**
- Capable of working independently and co-operatively to support the team to achieve shared goals. You will demonstrate initiative to develop solutions to presenting problems. _
