Family Support Specialist
At our department, we are committed to supporting families and promoting positive outcomes for children. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in achieving this goal.
Key Responsibilities:
* Engage with families at risk of harm, neglect, and family violence to provide assessment, case management, and therapeutic intervention.
* Collaborate with parents, other programs, and key partner agencies to strengthen parents' ability to support their children's safety, healthy development, and wellbeing.
* Provide case management and targeted interventions to improve outcomes for families with children up to six years old experiencing safety concerns related to parenting and child safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
* A social work qualification from a recognised tertiary institution giving eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Work.
* General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia or an appropriate Occupational Therapy qualification and practice registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
