The Role
We're looking for a Program Maker to produce and present original, engaging programs across multiple platforms. This is a hands-on content creation role that places you at the heart of local storytelling, working on news, interviews, live segments and emergency broadcasting.
You'll be part of a supportive, collaborative environment within ABC News, where your work contributes to our mission of representing the diversity of Australia.
The Job
* Create compelling audio and cross-platform content that reflects local communities.
* Prepare and present distinct local programs, including Q&As, interviews, packages and breaking news.
* Support in-studio production, manage talkback callers and coordinate guests.
* Contribute to emergency broadcasting and liaise with stakeholders as required.
* Share locally produced stories with other ABC teams to broaden impact.
* Engage deeply with local communities to identify and develop story ideas.
