Join our team who work on the Victorian Road Maintenance Contract (VRMC) by the Department of Transport. We deliver routine maintenance, planned maintenance, defect and hazard rectification and emergency response services to more than 8,500 lane kilometres of road in Victoria's Hume region, stretching from Mitchell Shire on the edge of metropolitan Melbourne to the north-east corner of the State.
We're looking for a dedicated Team Leader to guide our Road Maintenance team in Shepparton. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys working outdoors, leading a team to success, and prioritising workplace safety.
What You'll Bring:
* Road maintenance experience, along with proven capability in leading or supervising small to mid‑sized civil maintenance teams, planning works and engaging effectively with the public.
* A drive for accountability and commitment to quality outcomes, ensuring projects are completed on time.
* Construction White Card and Heavy Vehicle Licence.
* Ability to work afterhours
* Understanding of VicRoads section 750
* Excellent planning, scheduling, and crew oversight capabilities, combined with confident use of the Microsoft Office suite.
* A strong safety focus, with active participation in Downer's Zero Harm initiatives.
