Finance Administrator | Adelaide (Firle)

Reporting to our Commercial Manager, the Finance Assistant plays an integral role in handling all day-to-day accounts payable, bank recs & payroll coordination.

This is a great role within a flexible, experienced, supportive team.

Core Responsibilities

- Responsible for the day-to-day functions of all accounts payable and coordinating outsourced payroll processes.
- Processing and entering invoices into the system, including routing for approvals.
- Payment of invoices including generating batch payments, sending remittance and uploading into the banking system.
- Liaising with suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding accounts payable and payroll queries, responding in a timely manner.
- Managing and following up on invoice approvals with Project Managers or Department Leads.
- Managing Australia & New Zealand monthly payroll activities with outsourced payroll providers.
- Reconciling and managing compliance of PAYG, payroll tax and workcover reconciliations.
- Managing staff reimbursements, including onboarding and offboarding processes through Expensify.
- Preparing month-end salary journals, payroll accruals and intercompany recharges.
- Supporting monthly balance sheet reconciliations related to accounts payable, leave provisions (annual leave and long service leave) and other payroll accounts.
- Managing daily bank journals and daily cash receipting.
- Onboarding and offboarding of company credit cards.
- Supporting system enhancements and improvements.
- Providing support during the external annual audit with invoice and payroll requests.
- Other duties as directed by Line Management or delegate in line with skills, experience and/or qualifications.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

- Minimum 3 years' experience working in payroll and accounts functions.
- Proficiency in accounting systems.
- Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills.
- Proven ability to deliver tasks on time and with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proven ability to set priorities, analyse problems, formulate clear and effective solutions and co-ordinate a number of tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated initiative, trust and reliability and the ability to work unsupervised.
- Proven ability to maintain high moral and ethical standards in general and in particular in relation to confidentiality.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work in and be supportive of a positive and dynamic team culture.
- Intermediate MS Office Suite.
