Resolve Recruit is partnering with a leading Commonwealth Government agency to find an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer.
Our client is a prominent Commonwealth agency whose technology platforms underpin Australia's international presence and engagement. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will contribute to both project delivery and operational support, helping to design, deploy and maintain critical infrastructure and multi-cloud environments that underpin Australia's international engagement. This role plays an integral part of the current management and support provided to end-users for the departments multi-cloud offering.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop and maintain cloud solutions for infrastructure provisioning, configuration and optimisation across Azure and AWS
* Implement cloud best practices for security, compliance and cost management
* Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with cross‐functional teams
* Build and deploy cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Bicep, ARM templates and Azure PowerShell
* Work with DevOps, Security and Development teams to enable and support CI/CD pipelines
* Maintain accurate technical documentation, including architectures, processes and procedures
* Stay current with emerging Azure and AWS services, features and industry trends
Key Experience and Skills
* Demonstrated experience in a Cloud Engineer, Cloud Solution Engineer, DevOps
* Experience with Azure, AWS or a multi‐cloud environment
* Strong hands‐on experience with cloud services and architectures on at least one major cloud platform (Azure or AWS)
* Proven experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, Azure PowerShell or AWS CloudFormation
* Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Git)
* Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPC/VNet, subnets, firewalls and load balancing
* Strong problem‐solving and troubleshooting capability
* High‐level communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment (including MS Teams)
Security Requirements
Applicants must hold an active Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance (or higher) to be considered.
