Internal expression of interest - Assistant Project Officer Temporary full- time opportunity up to 30 June 2026 (35 hours per week) Office location – Parramatta/flexible within other established NSW work locations, Hybrid working supported Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $101,880 to $112,417 super Our Team is Corporate Strategy, Reporting and Assurance in the Strategic Portfolio and Delivery Office we are looking for an Assistant Project Officer to support the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW)'s Strategic Plan refresh. This is an exciting opportunity to provide project management support to the Strategic Plan Refresh. This is a priority project for the Secretary. It is a great opportunity to get a view across the business and engagement with staff from the Executive down. It will involve external and internal stakeholder engagement. Events organisation, calendar management and project support. About You You have an eye for detail and are super organised, are confident in organising large events, external stakeholder engagements and calendars. Happily, provide proactive support to the project manager and help identify and mitigate issues. You enjoy working in an agile face paced environment and being part of a collaborative team. Key Accountabilities Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans. Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies and practices to ensure the delivery of projects complies with agreed project management methodology. Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning. Assist the project team to complete tasks and implement project plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved. Work closely with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding project status and implementation issues. Provide a range of secretariat and administrative services, including coordination of committee meetings and preparation of briefs, reports and papers, to support project management delivery.
