The Opportunity:
Principal Legal Officer (SCL5)
As Principal Legal Officer, you'll be part of the strategic legal leadership team, guiding the Department’s legal direction, managing complex legal advice, and overseeing litigation and statutory matters across environmental, administrative, and public sector law. This role builds legal capability, champions good governance, and fosters relationships with First Nations partners, legal experts, and government stakeholders to drive impact.
This fixed-term opportunity runs until December 2027 and supports the introduction of Deemed Decision Making for low-risk, low-complexity assessments.
