Overview
Microgrid Project Engineer - Sydney at Schneider Electric. Based in Macquarie Park with hybrid working arrangements, you will be a key member of our Digital Power Application Centre, providing Microgrid solutions that are cost-effective, reliable and sustainable for our customers.
Responsibilities
* Play a central role in the design, configuration and optimisation of Microgrid systems and related SCADA solutions to provide customers with reliability and optimised energy management solutions
* Utilise technical experience across key areas: solar, batteries, storage, generators, renewable energy sources and other emerging technologies
* Conduct site visits for requirements assessments, installations, testing, commissioning and other performance analysis requirements
* Collaborate with Project Managers and other internal stakeholders (some based outside of Australia) to meet technical standards and project goals and customer requirements
* Leverage Schneider software, services and related products
* Interpret and apply relevant standards and legacy protocols while adhering to project plans
* Occasional site travel to support customer requirements on local and national bases
Our ideal candidate will possess
* Tertiary qualifications in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with knowledge/experience in Renewable Energy or Power Systems (e.g., solar, battery storage and diesel generators)
* Hands-on experience in a similar Project Engineering role focused on Microgrids or Renewable Energy
* Technical background in PLC/SCADA systems, coding and Modbus
* Strong communication skills and confidence in customer engagement, especially on-site
* Problem-solving mindset, analytical approach and project management capabilities
* Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple tasks
