The Opportunity
As a Nurse Educator at BlueWave Living, you will be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation of the educational needs of our employees. Working closely with the Executive Care Manager, Care Managers, and Management Team, you will ensure that our education programs are current, evidence-based, and tailored to the unique needs of our staff and residents.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver comprehensive training programs, including competency assessments and medication administration.
* Conduct training needs analysis to identify skill gaps and develop targeted educational interventions.
* Lead group training sessions, toolbox talks, and new staff orientation programs.
* Provide clinical support and mentoring to care staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
* Maintain accurate records of qualifications, training activities, and staff competencies.
* Collaborate with the Management Team to address staff education requirements through performance appraisals and feedback.
* Ensure compliance with BlueWave Living's policies and procedures, as well as Work Health & Safety legislation.
* Assist with clinical HR and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
About You
* Essential Qualifications:
o Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse, or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with current AHPRA registration.
o Certificate IV in Workplace Assessment and Training.
o Current National Criminal History Check.
o Full working rights in Australia.
* Desirable Qualifications:
o Experience in residential aged care.
o Fire Safety Officer qualifications or willingness to obtain.
o Knowledge of Australian National Aged Care Classification (AN-ACC) Funding Model.
* Skills & Experience:
o Proven experience in coordinating clinical education and training within a healthcare setting.
o Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and motivate others.
o Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work autonomously and within a team.
o Demonstrated adult learning facilitation skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
o Proficiency in computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
o Competitive salary package in line with BlueWave Living's Workplace Enterprise Agreement including salary packaging of up to approx. $18,000.
