ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY This is a significant leadership opportunity to guide a high-performing academic school and shape its continued growth, impact and global standing. Reporting to the Dean, Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, the Head of School provides strategic, academic and operational leadership for the School of Computing and Information Systems and is a key member of the Faculty Executive. The role is responsible for advancing the strategic priorities of the Faculty and the University through effective leadership, collaboration and alignment across academic and professional teams. The Head of School will lead and represent the School across education, research and engagement activities, while fostering a high-performing, inclusive and values-based culture. Key accountabilities include setting and delivering the School’s strategic vision; managing resources and budget; ensuring operational excellence across people, health and safety, and equity and diversity; and driving organisational and cultural change. The role also plays a critical part in strengthening national and international partnerships, enhancing industry engagement, and positioning the School to respond to emerging opportunities in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Working closely with faculty leadership, university stakeholders and external partners, the Head of School will build on existing strengths while shaping the next phase of growth and innovation in computing and information systems. ABOUT YOU You will be an internationally recognised academic leader with the vision, credibility and capability to lead a complex and high-performing school within a globally competitive environment.
