Job Overview
This role is ideal for a civil construction professional seeking a stable office-based position while remaining connected to project delivery and field operations.
As a key member of the team, you will work closely with pipe crews to ensure smooth job execution, coordinating materials, issuing purchase orders, and assisting with take-offs for civil works.
Key Responsibilities
* Support multiple civil project teams with procurement and material coordination ensuring timely completion of tasks.
* Complete detailed take-offs for site works including water, sewer, and stormwater.
* Raise and manage purchase orders in line with site needs, fostering strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
* Liaise directly with suppliers, subcontractors, and crew leaders to facilitate effective communication and project success.
* Assist with general administrative tasks as required, providing support to the team and contributing to a productive work environment.
Ideal Candidate
* A background in civil construction, preferably on-site or in a project support role, with a proven track record of delivering results.
* Excellent understanding of how pipe crews operate and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Organised, reliable, and comfortable managing multiple requests simultaneously, with a high level of attention to detail.
* Confident using Microsoft Excel, Word, and general admin systems, with the ability to learn new software quickly.
* Holds a current driver's licence and has reliable transport, enabling flexibility and responsiveness to changing project requirements.
