ABOUT OUR COMPANY
Saunders International is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our pre-contracts team in delivering high-value construction and maintenance projects across Defence, Water, Energy, Resources and Industrial sectors.

You'll lead the estimate development process from RFP through to submission, working collaboratively with engineers, construction managers, and commercial teams to deliver winning proposals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Based in Meadowbrook, you'll lead cost estimates and proposal development from RFP to submission, identify new business opportunities across Defence, Water, Energy and Industrial sectors, and craft competitive strategies that win projects. Occasional travel required for client meetings and site visits.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• Minimum 5 years' experience in estimating, preferably in SMP or heavy industrial sectors
• Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple bids/estimates simultaneously
• Demonstrated track record of winning large-scale SMP projects through effective estimating and proposal management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to work harmoniously with others towards shared objectives
• Flexibility and openness to different approaches and ways of working to meet changing needs
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
• Experience in the tank building industry
• Adaptability to changing circumstances and challenges
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead estimate development and conduct bid/no-bid analysis
* Facilitate estimate review meetings with key stakeholders
* Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure proposals meet company standards and client requirements
* Maintain comprehensive bid documentation and pricing records
* Develop cash flow estimates to support financial planning
* Conduct post-bid analysis and debriefs to drive continuous improvement
