About the Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing
The Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing is a Victorian public entity driving system-wide improvement in mental health and wellbeing through collaboration, learning and lived experience partnership.
The Statewide Mental Health Enrolled Nurse Educator provides senior leadership in workforce development and education for enrolled nurses across Victorian public mental health and wellbeing services. This role leads the design, delivery and evaluation of contemporary learning and training initiatives, contributes an enrolled nurse perspective to multidisciplinary workforce development, and builds strong partnerships across the sector.
Working closely with key stakeholders, the role identifies workforce learning needs, delivers strategic solutions, and supports a sustainable, skilled and recovery-focused enrolled nurse mental health workforce across Victoria.
Please note that the role is seconded from The Royal Melbourne Hospital to the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing.
In this role you will
* Lead PEN workforce learning and development strategy and delivery
* Map PEN roles and career pathways across clinical, leadership and education streams
* Design, review and implement early career, transition and graduate PEN programs
* Align PEN capability development with broader mental health workforce priorities
* Build partnerships with academic providers and sector stakeholders
* Provide strategic leadership and contemporary learning solutions in collaboration with the Collaborative Centre
* Contribute as a high-performing PEN Educator and champion recovery-focused practice
* Deliver outcomes aligned to the Collaborative Centre's vision, values and objectives
What will you bring?
To be successful you will have:
* Registration as an Enrolled Nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
* Diploma in Nursing, or equivalent, including Board-approved qualification in administration of medicines.
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or working towards completion) and/or demonstrated industry experience in designing and delivering training
* Extensive experience in mental health services
* Strong understanding of workforce development needs, scope of practice, and other issues related to the PEN workforce
* Demonstrated experience working with large groups of diverse stakeholders and in leadership
* Strong understanding of lived experience workforces and experience co-producing or co-facilitating education
