Job Description
About the Role:
Wickham Freight lines has a niche job role opportunity available for a trainee Pallet Controller to join our team. This is an opportunity for you to showcase your aptitude to control and maintain the efficient flow of our pallets and assist with our invoicing whilst learning.
This role is suitable to someone that has an analytical mindset and confident to liaise with internal and external clients. This is a great opportunity to work within a supportive and experienced team where this role with time, will become the main Pallet Controller with full training provided.
The role is based in Warwick, QLD and will be a challenging position for a well-motivated, organised, and reliable individual. The role will require the successful applicant to work full time hours, between Monday to Friday.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Coordinating and maintaining control of Chep and Loscam pallets
* Pallet reconciliation
* Assist our Invoicing team with data entry
* Resolving pallet rejections, discrepancies and ensuring accuracy
* Ensure pallet systems are up to date daily (2iC, MyChep & Loscam HMS)
* Monitor pallet accuracy of outbound consignments
* Communicate to team members the importance of following pallet processes and procedures
* Liaise with customers
* Data entry of pallet dockets and filing of pallet paperwork

* Must have professional communication skills to converse with team members, customers, drivers and terminal managers
* Intermediate computer skills with Microsoft Excel
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work within a team and independently
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
* Transport/warehouse administration background is beneficial
* Willingness to learn a niche role
