**The role**

We are currently looking for an experienced conveyancer to join our Canberra Property team on a full time basis.

Your duties will include document preparation and file management; drafting correspondence; organising and preparing contracts for sale, reviewing contracts, undertaking verification of identity tasks, attending to lodgements (the traditional way and via PEXA) liaising with clients and solicitors and organising and attending settlements. The conveyancing work involves both commercial and residential sales and purchases, mortgagee sales, off-the-plan sales, and general commercial conveyancing.

You will be working directly with a partner and a number of lawyers, with the opportunity to have a variety of work and a degree of autonomy commensurate with your experience level. We act for a range of developers, financial institutions and property investors, fund managers and privately owned investment groups.

**Who would be suited**:
To be successful in this role you will have experience as a conveyancer in a commercial or residential property practice. You must have exceptional communication skills and a solid understanding of conveyancing.

It is essential that you have strong organisational and file management skills, experience with time entry and electronic billing and a proactive attitude. An eye for detail, strong service orientation and enthusiastic approach to your work is also important.

Ideally you will also have:

- advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, including intermediate level skills in Excel;
- experience using PEXA and other online platforms commonly used by conveyancers; and
- experience using Aderant Expert or similar time recording package, and FileSite or similar document management system.
