We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the day‐to‐day operations of a temperature‐controlled warehouse and yard based in Truganina.
This is a hands‐on leadership role, responsible for managing a small warehouse and yard team, maintaining high safety and compliance standards, and driving efficient, high‐quality operations across the site.You will also play a key role in the rollout and embedding of a new warehouse/system process, acting as the site lead to ensure successful adoption, consistency, and ongoing optimisation.
The successful candidate will bring proven cold storage experience, strong people leadership, and a practical, operational mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of a temperature‐controlled warehouse and yard
Lead, supervise, and develop a small team of warehouse and yard staff
Act as the site lead for a new system rollout, supporting implementation, training, and continuous improvement
Promote and enforce a strong safety‐first culture
Ensure cold‐chain integrity and compliance with food safety requirements
Coordinate inbound and outbound freight with transport and operations teams
Maintain high standards of site presentation, housekeeping, and organisation
Conduct toolbox talks, safety checks, and regular site walk‐arounds
Investigate incidents, near misses, and non‐conformances
Drive continuous improvement across safety, quality, and efficiency
Oversee yard organisation, equipment control, and site layout
The Warehouse Manager will be accountable for delivering measurable improvements in:
Optimised return management and cost effectiveness
Labour efficiency, including hours worked and effective rostering
Cold‐chain compliance and temperature control
Warehouse productivity and freight flow
Stock accuracy and freight integrity
Site cleanliness and audit readiness
Team performance, engagement, and capability
Yard layout, organisation, and equipment control
Accuracy and timeliness of pallet control and dehire processes
Skills & Experience
Minimum 3 years' experience in a Warehouse Manager or similar leadership role
Proven experience in cold storage or temperature‐controlled logistics
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and manage a small operational team
Strong understanding of WHS, food safety, and warehouse compliance
Confidence managing performance and addressing issues as they arise
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Forklift licence (essential)
