Environmental Industries is seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Gardener to work within our maintenance division at our Newman base. The successful candidate will be on a FIFO (ex-Perth) roster of 2 weeks on, 1 week off or be residential depending on preferences. You will be self-motivated to achieve a high standard of quality workmanship and will be supported through daily contact with the Area Manager.
Responsibilities
Gardening and general grounds keeping
Repairing irrigation
Mowing and edging
Raking, mulching and pruning
Planting grass, shrubs, and bushes
Rubbish, general maintenance and cleaning
Applying pesticides and fertilizer
Other duties as required
Skills and Experience
Several years’ experience in a similar role
Irrigation experience, preferred but not essential
Ability to work autonomously
Tickets, Licences and Qualifications
Cert III Horticulture - highly regarded but not essential
Pest Management (Spray) Ticket – highly regarded but not essential
National Police Clearance (less than 6-month-old at own cost). Note: people with criminal records are not automatically barred from applying; each application will be considered on its merits and the position requirements.
