About the Role
Buckland Aged Care is seeking an energetic, hardworking and reliable Gardener to join our Maintenance team. This is a full-time Monday to Friday position (7:30am – 4:30pm, with an early finish on Fridays) working across the grounds of our retirement village.
Key Responsibilities
* Undertake general grounds and garden maintenance including lawn mowing, whipper snipping, pruning, weeding and general upkeep
* Ensure all duties are completed safely in accordance with Work Health and Safety requirements
* Work cooperatively with other members of the garden and maintenance team
* Assist the broader Maintenance team when required
* Report to the Maintenance Manager and follow directions as needed
The ideal candidate will
* Have a keen interest in gardening and working outdoors
* Have experience using gardening tools and equipment (or willingness to learn)
* Be physically fit and capable of manual labour
* Deliver quality work to a high standard within set timeframes
* Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
* Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
* Have knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
* Hold a current Australian driver's licence
* Have a positive "can-do" attitude and work well as part of a team

Pre-Employment Requirements
