About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Georges Mediterranean as a Chef de Partie. As a prominent restaurant, located in the heart of Sydney, we are seeking a talented and enthusiastic chef to join our kitchen team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and delivery of high-quality Mediterranean-inspired cuisine to our discerning clientele.
What you'll be doing
1. Preparing and cooking a variety of Mediterranean dishes to our exacting standards
2. Ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of meals from the kitchen
3. Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organisation in your assigned station
4. Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef with menu development and implementation
5. Providing guidance and training to junior kitchen staff
6. Adhering to all food safety and health regulations
What we're looking for
1. 3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-quality venue
2. A passion for Mediterranean and European cuisine with a strong understanding of flavours and techniques
3. Excellent time management and multitasking abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen brigade
5. A commitment to upholding high food safety and hygiene standards
6. Formal culinary training or qualifications is highly regarded
