Discover Your Next Role

As a Health & Wellbeing Advisor at Wilmar Sugar & Renewables, you will support the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees by coordinating injury management and rehabilitation for both work-related and non-work-related cases. You'll ensure effective return-to-work outcomes through proactive case management, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with relevant legislation and self-insurer requirements. Reporting to the Health Management Superintendent, you'll also contribute to broader health and wellbeing initiatives in line with our injury management framework.

This position offers flexibility in location, allowing you to be stationed at any of our milling sites or within the Herbert, Burdekin or Mackay Regions. You could be in Ingham - a charming town known for its vibrant Italian heritage and lush wetlands, the Burdekin region - celebrated for its rich agricultural landscape and friendly community, or Sarina - nestled in the beautiful Whitsunday region, renowned for its stunning beaches and proximity to the Great Barrier Reef.

Your Role in Action

- Compliance & Legislative Awareness: Ensure understanding and compliance with Wilmar Sugar policies and relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Safety & Health Culture: Promote a strong safety culture by participating in initiatives such as safety walks, toolbox talks, and health campaigns.
- Injury Prevention & Advice: Provide guidance on injury prevention and support the implementation of group health and safety initiatives at the site level.
- Incident Investigation & Learning: Participate in incident investigations, contribute injury-related insights, and ensure corrective actions are communicated and applied.
- Injury Management & Rehabilitation: Coordinate timely injury management interventions and develop return-to-work (RTW) plans in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Return-to-Work Support: Facilitate suitable duties and graduated RTW plans while coaching leaders on obligations and best practice strategies.
- Compliance & Case Documentation: Ensure all injury management activities comply with self-insurer licence conditions and maintain accurate, auditable records.
- Health & Wellbeing Initiatives: Contribute to workforce health and wellbeing programs, and support activities that promote resilience, safety, and a healthy workplace culture.

Your Winning Combination

Our ideal candidate will be accredited, or eligible for accreditation, as a Return-to-Work Coordinator and have a sound understanding of relevant legislation, including the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003 and self-insurer frameworks. A Certificate IV or higher in Workplace Rehabilitation, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related allied health field is desirable, along with demonstrated experience in case management or injury management within a self-insurer or insurer environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, and experience using SAP and SharePoint will be highly regarded.
