About the role
In this Finance Officer position, you will work directly with the Financial Controller to manage the end-to-end bookkeeping process for the business. You will be responsible for the business’ accounts payable and receivable functions, undertaking bank reconciliations, processing payroll, as well as utilising & maintaining XERO software. Furthermore, you will also support the Sales & Production Managers by performing data entry and general administrative tasks, including maintaining and updating the business’ internal database.
Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Managing accounts payable and receivable transactions
* Completing regular bank reconciliations & maintaining accurate records
* Processing payroll and maintaining the business’ XERO software and internal database
* Assisting the Financial Controller with general finance tasks and month end reporting duties
* Providing administrative and basic HR support to the sales & production teams, including database management and processing purchase orders
About you
The successful candidate will possess an established background within bookkeeping or financial administration, ideally with experience working within manufacturing, trades or a similar industry. You will be tertiary qualified in Bookkeeping, Accounting or similar, holding a relevant TAFE diploma or bachelor’s degree. The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience using accounting software (ideally Xero) and will be confident in using the Microsoft Office suite of programs - particularly Excel. Ideally, we are seeking a solutions-focused individual who is self-driven and able to work both autonomously and part of a collaborative team. Previous experience providing general administrative support and maintaining accurate database information will be advantageous.
