The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Science and Mathematics Teacher to join our team commencing in the 2026 school year for a 0.7 FTE, 12-month contract. The successful applicant will be vibrant, dynamic and have the knowledge within the subjects of Science and Mathematics to work with students in our Middle and Senior School.
The role:
- Set programmes and lesson objectives based on the curriculum and within ACARA and IBMYP requirements
- Consistently give prompt feedback to students, encourage and involve students in class to enable them to fulfil their potential
- Develop and use appropriate assessment tasks and accurately record all grades and results for student assessment
- Promote a trusting and caring approach within the classroom
- Maintain current knowledge of pedagogy and subject disciplines
- Ability to relate well to students, recognising both the pastoral and educative aspects of the student-teacher relationship
- Ability to teach other curriculum areas an advantage
- Maintain an interest in the welfare of students and promote the wellbeing of students
- Some out of hours will be required due to role requirements
What we need:
- A current South Australian Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- A current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) certificate
- A current Teacher Registration Certificate in South Australia
- First Aid and CPR Certificate (preferred)
- Academic Transcripts and Degrees, Diplomas, Certificates
