In this role, you'll:
* Supervise and support routine periodical maintenance of signalling assets to ensure safety and compliance.
* Resolve technical issues to ensure reliability and minimise service disruptions.
* Assist in planning priorities and strategies with engineering and operations teams.
* Conduct field audits and recommend corrective actions to improve compliance.
* Monitor planned work and assess risks to network reliability.
* Provide expert advice on reliability improvements and engineering processes.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the signalling system and its performance.
* Collaborate with other divisions to provide specialist engineering advice.

About You
* Accreditation as a Sydney Trains Signal Engineer with a Licence to Practice.
* Proven experience in signal maintenance, construction, and commissioning in operational rail environments.
* Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills applicable to multidisciplinary rail engineering contexts.
* Deep understanding of engineering principles and their application to signalling systems.
* Proven ability to deliver technical and engineering advice across all organisational levels.
* Sound knowledge of planning practices.
* NSW Class C driver’s license preferred.
* Willingness to work weekends regularly, as substantial maintenance activities are scheduled during weekend possessions.
