Our client, a well-established
gold exploration and production company
, is seeking
2 x Core Logging Geologists
to join their team on a FIFO 8:6 roster from Perth. These positions will start on a contract basis with high potential of transitioning to permanent employment, offering an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career with a respected WA gold producer.
Qualifications
Tertiary qualification in Geology
Minimum 2 years' gold exploration/mining experience
Proficiency with geological logging software (Geobank preferred)
Solid understanding of Eastern Goldfields geology and Archaean gold lode systems
Strong focus on safety and ability to demonstrate safe work practices
Capacity to work in a rapid-paced environment and meet daily targets
Physically fit to meet role requirements and comfortable working FIFO on an 8:6 roster
Position Duties
Logging core samples for resource definition drilling at a minimum rate of 100m/day
Recording detailed geological observations including lithology, alteration, structure, mineralisation, and geotechnical properties
Accurately transcribing data into digital systems (Geobank)
Following strict sampling procedures and protocols
Collaborating with the mine geology team to advance projects and interpretations
Assisting in evaluating geological data and contributing to reporting
Attending team meetings and providing input as required
