The role of a Flight Attendant is a dynamic and challenging position that requires a unique blend of skills and qualities. As a solo Flight Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers throughout the flight.
You will be managing the entire cabin independently, which means being independent and self-reliant. This also involves having excellent communication skills to effectively manage passenger interactions and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
In addition to your people skills, you will need to demonstrate attention to detail and safety-consciousness while managing in-flight services. You must also be flexible and able to adapt to changing situations, working a variety of shifts including weekends, public holidays, and some nights spent away from home.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
* 18 years of age or older
* Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
* No taller than 173 cm
* A current Provide First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
* A current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate
* The ability to demonstrate at least one of the following criteria: Completion of a minimum of three years of secondary education in Australia or New Zealand, work experience in Australia or New Zealand for at least three of the last five years, or work experience in the UK, Ireland, or USA for at least three of the last five years
* An International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall grade of 5.5
* An Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) which involves a police security check
* Experience in customer service
* The ability to swim fully clothed without aid or floating device
* Flexibility and willingness to please and care for people
Extensive training will be provided – flying experience is not required.
