Job Title: Community Care Specialist
This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and clean environment for all staff and residents.
The Community Care Specialist is responsible for providing general cleaning duties as instructed by management, adhering to established schedules and protocols. Essential responsibilities include:
1. Cleaning, washing, sweeping, mopping, dusting, polishing and vacuum cleaning of designated areas to the required standard.
2. Emptying litter bins and removing waste to designated areas.
3. Responding to emergency calls during normal working hours and on rostered shifts.
4. Maintaining records of completion of cleaning scheduled duties.
5. Safely storing and using cleaning agents, including correct usage in the correct quantities for each task.
In addition, this role involves managing complaints in a timely and transparent manner, investigating causes and developing strategies to prevent re-occurrence, and reporting all complaints to management.
Key Responsibilities:

This role participates in risk management and infection control programs and contributes to a clean and safe work environment to ensure safety of residents/visitors, other staff and self.
Reports immediately any equipment or situation that is hazardous or has the potential to be a safety issue.
Participates in problem-solving process to resolve OH&S and infection control issues.
Physical Demands:
This role requires walking, standing, climbing, bending forward, kneeling down, crawling, reaching and grasping, pushing and pulling objects, repetitive bending and lifting of items, and repetitive hand and arm movements.
