Overview
Development Administration Officer – Talent Pool. Temporary Full Time and Part Time.
Location: Speers Point, New South Wales. Employment type: Temporary Full Time and Part Time. This role supports the Development Assessment and Certification Department (DAC) by creating a talent pool of experienced administration professionals for future short-term temporary positions. The work involves delivering high-quality customer service in the determination of development applications and the delivery of certification services, with opportunities to broaden experience within a busy regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service and contribute to service enhancements, including liaising with all levels of management, elected representatives and the community, ensuring timely and courteous responses to all correspondence.
* Deliver high-level administrative support across the department, including data entry, lodgment and determination of applications and certificates via electronic portals, preparation of correspondence and reports, word processing, and maintaining records, documents and systems while handling confidential information in accordance with Council's Privacy Policy.
* Process and review online applications and certificates via ePortals for lodgement, referrals to external referral agencies and determination with a high degree of accuracy.
* Coordinate, facilitate and provide administrative support for internal and external meetings as required.
* Provide administrative support for processing and reviewing online application lodgements via ePortals for referrals to external referral agencies.
Qualifications
* Certificate IV in Business Administration and/or equivalent demonstrated administration experience.
* Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels while delivering excellent customer service.
* Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills to manage competing demands.
* Experience in facilitating meetings involving a range of stakeholders.
* Developed research skills to analyse complex problems and identify solutions.
* Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and respond sensitively to complex personal matters while maintaining professional boundaries.
