About the Role / What to Expect?
This is a diverse and hands-on role. You will be required to execute efficient, accurate and timely processing of transactions ensuring we meet our financial compliance and reporting standards.
Being detail orientated and having an analytical mind to problem solve is a must as the Finance Officer provides varied accounting and financial support, contributing significantly to ensuring the smooth operation of the company, consistent with our Vision and Values.
What You'll be Doing
* Accounts Payable: End-to-end processing, supplier setup, invoice (including approval) workflows, and payment preparation.
* Customer & Supplier Engagement: Handling enquires and discrepancies / disputes resolution.
* Payroll Processing: Payroll, PAYGW, and superannuation transactions.
* Reporting: Assisting with end of month / end of period duties as directed by Senior Finance Officer and Finance & Corporate Services Manager.
* General Administration: Maintaining digital records and administrative backup support as required.
* Compliance:Reconciliation of finance data / monitoring and maintenance of financial data integrity in software platforms outside of accounting software.
* Support: Providing financial support to operational roles across organisation's business units.
* Reconciliation: Processing & reconciliation of:
* Bank accounts
* corporate card transactions
* petty cash transactions
About You (Essential Selection Criteria)
1. Minimum Cert IV in Bookkeeping or demonstrated practical experience.
2. Extensive experience using accounting software (Preferably MYOB / SAGE Intacct) and MS Office suite.
3. Attention to detail and ability to multitask whilst maintaining a high level of quality.
4. Demonstrated well developed interpersonal & communication skills.
5. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Practical experience, processing payroll, preferably at high volume .
7. Hands on ELMO payroll software experience advantageous but not essential.
8. Solid understanding of financial / bookkeeping practices.
9. Provide a proactive approach to task resolution.
