Set in the beautiful New England region of NSW, Armidale Hospital is a major rural referral hospital offering a comprehensive range of health services including emergency, surgical, maternity, medical, and allied health. You'll be working within a dynamic and professional team committed to continuous learning and high-quality patient care.
The facility is well-supported by a close-knit team of educators, clinical leaders, and nursing professionals who thrive on collaboration and innovation. The culture here is inclusive, supportive, and driven by a shared goal of clinical excellence and patient-centred care. As an after-hours Clinical Nurse Educator, you'll become an integral part of this team, making a difference when it matters most.
About The Role
As the After-Hours Clinical Nurse Educator (AHCNE), you'll take the lead in supporting nursing staff across the facility outside regular business hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends. A typical shift will see you mentoring junior and senior nurses alike, delivering targeted education and skills training, and acting as a key point of support for clinical best practice after hours.
You'll collaborate closely with Nurse Managers, Clinical Nurse Consultants, and other educators to develop and deliver high-impact education programs that drive safe, evidence-based care. * The ability to model professional behaviour aligned with our Excellence Framework
What's essential is your ability to support staff of all skill levels, your communication and interpersonal skills, and your drive to create a culture of learning and professional growth. While some clinical education strategies can be developed on the job, your ability to guide, inspire, and build clinical confidence is non-negotiable.
