We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to work at a Mitie client site, carrying out electrical safety checks, PAT testing, planned and call-out maintenance, and repairs.
You must be able to work to high levels of health and safety, understand and work according to building statutory requirements, and ensure regular monitoring and inspection procedures are carried out for all equipment as part of the preventative maintenance programme.
The candidate should have a full, current driving licence, be IT literate for record keeping, possess good customer service skills, and be physically capable of performing the duties outlined in the job description.
The ideal candidate would have a background in facilities or mobile maintenance within the construction sector or similar, and be qualified to either Level 2/3 City and Guilds 2330 or NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation and 18th edition.
Job Responsibilities
1. Undertake routine PPM tasks in accordance with recognised standards.
2. Perform reactive repairs as required.
3. Carry out electrical installation work as needed.
4. Escort sub-contractors when necessary.
5. Attend training to meet contract requirements.
6. Collaborate with other Mitie disciplines for multi-discipline services.
7. Support weekly meeting room setups.
8. Be available for emergency works outside normal hours if needed.
9. Ensure all documentation is completed correctly for all tasks, with reactive tasks reported and recorded on the CAFM system.
10. Perform tasks as instructed by the on-site FM.
11. Support the Mitie team as required.
12. Respond promptly to verbal and written requests.
13. Conduct regular inspections.
Qualifications
* Industry-recognised Trade Qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, etc.).
* BS7671 18th edition qualification.
* Previous experience in the manufacturing sector is desirable but not essential.
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
* Proactive approach and ability to self-manage multiple workloads.
* IT literate.
* IPAF 3A & 3B certification (essential).
* Basic mechanical knowledge (desirable but not essential).
