About the Role
Cairns Beaches Psychology is seeking a Psychologist to join our growing team on a contract basis in Smithfield, QLD. In this role, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention services to a diverse client base. Depending on your interests and experience, you may work with children and young people, adults, or a combination of both. You will play a key role in supporting clients across the lifespan to achieve improved mental health and wellbeing.
What You'll Be Doing
* Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored treatment plans
* Delivering individual therapy sessions using a range of evidence-based psychological interventions
* Providing clinical support and guidance to clients presenting with a broad range of mental health concerns
* Working with children and young people, adults, or both, adapting interventions to suit developmental and individual needs
* Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to client care
* Maintaining accurate and timely client records in accordance with ethical, legal, and professional standards
What We're Looking For
* Current registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Demonstrated experience delivering psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions in a clinical setting
* Interest and capability in working with children and young people, adults, or both
* Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
* A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and contributing positively to team culture
