Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee and manage our human resource, workplace, enterprise agreements, and unions relations activities. This role involves planning, organising, directing, controlling, and managing various HR functions to meet our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Human Resource Management:
* Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and plans.
* Manage performance, recruitment, and industrial relations.
* Helping to negotiate collective bargaining agreements.
* Handle negotiations with unions and employees.
* Ensure compliance with EEO programs and statutory requirements.
* Oversee redundancy processes and employee termination policies.
* Coordinate hiring processes and provide HR policy guidance.
* Train and advise managers on personnel matters.
Injury Management and Workers Compensation:
* Manage claims to ensure compliance and minimise premiums.
* Liaise with relevant professionals and consultants.
* Train management on legal responsibilities.
* Coordinate with rehabilitation providers.
OH&S, Environment, and Quality Systems:
* Maintain awareness and compliance with OH&S and environmental policies.
* Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience: 3-5 years in an HR role, preferably in the construction/related industry.
* Strong verbal and written communication.
* Customer service orientation.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Sound problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills.
