Timberwolf Planting, a specialist planting and reforestation division within the PeopleIN Group, is expanding its national Forestry operations, and we are looking for an experienced and commercially minded State Forestry Manager to lead our Western Australian growth. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Timberwolf’s Forestry and Plantation Services division while supporting our established commercial landscaping operations Based in Perth, you will lead the expansion of the WA market, drive high-performance delivery, and contribute to building a national reforestation workforce. Timberwolf undertakes projects of varying sizes (from 500 to 350,000 plants) across offsets, revegetation, wetlands, bio-retention basins, streetscapes, parks, feature gardens, and forestry. About the Role As the State Forestry Manager, you will oversee all Forestry planting operations within WA and collaborate nationally to support a fully integrated, cross-state planting operation. This newly created senior leadership role is responsible for operational management, business development, workforce planning, quality assurance, safety, and strategic expansion of Timberwolf’s Forestry portfolio. Working closely with the General Manager and Regional Managers, you will ensure Timberwolf continues to deliver high-quality reforestation outcomes while driving efficiency, capability, and profitability across the division. Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Leadership Lead WA forestry planting operations to ensure safe, high-quality and efficient delivery. Contribute to national resource planning with interstate managers. Embed forestry systems and techniques into commercial landscaping operations. Business Growth & Commercial Management Identify and win new forestry and plantation service opportunities. Prepare account plans, tenders, proposals and client engagement strategies. Deliver accurate schedules, budgets, forecasts and performance reporting. People Leadership & Workforce Development Recruit, train and develop supervisors and field teams. Implement training frameworks to build technical and project capability. Mentor staff, lead performance reviews and drive a high-performance, safety-first culture. Quality, Safety & Process Excellence Maintain quality systems and ensure WHS, environmental and legislative compliance. Lead audits, inspections, corrective actions and continuous improvement. Manage internal systems for rostering, production tracking, payroll and budgets. What We’re Looking For Essential Significant sales or business development experience (recruitment or commercial sector preferred). Strong market knowledge and an established professional network. Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and operations. Strong commercial and financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting and P&L oversight. Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to coach, mentor and empower staff across multiple levels. Highly organised, disciplined and capable of managing multiple projects concurrently. Desired Tertiary qualification in Business, Management or related field. Experience in recruitment, training and onboarding new staff members Exposure to Forestry, environmental services, agriculture, or plantation operations (highly advantageous). Why Join Timberwolf?
