The role
Join us as Principal DevOps Lead and play a pivotal role in transforming how NSW delivers technology solutions to communities, businesses, and government. Your role is all about ensuring seamless technology-based services—designing, upgrading, and managing operations while maintaining the integrity of core systems. You'll evaluate new solutions, oversee installations and decommissioning, and provide strategic advice on cloud technologies to keep the organisation ahead of the curve.
Driving reliable service delivery while managing support requests will be central to your role. You'll need to sustain existing services while integrating new initiatives in a dynamic, complex environment. Prioritising tasks to meet business deadlines and SLAs is crucial, ensuring hosting systems run smoothly while proactively resolving potential service issues before they escalate.

What you will bring to the role

Key knowledge and experience
* Extensive experience working in highly technical ICT environments with a focus on cloud hosting, security, and/or software engineering.
* Experience leading a team to develop and deliver cloud solutions for customer compute and ICT storage problems in a cost constrained environment.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills proven in project delivery in a busy workplace.
What is an essential requirement:
* Relevant experience or tertiary qualification in computer science or related field and/or recognised industry certifications.
* This role may include being on-call, weekend and after-hours work.
