About The Role
This is a full-time position, fixed term until 30th June 2026 with the possibility of extension. The role will support teams in both Nowra and Wollongong and can be based at either location.
The focus of the Work and Study Specialist is to assist consumers within the Mental Health portfolio to explore work and study options. The Work and Study Specialist will work with people who experience barriers to employment and/or education to support them to achieve their vocation and/or education goals.

Duties
* Provide vocational leadership to staff
* Actively develop partnerships with a wide range of external organisations
* Enhance vocational outcomes for consumers
* Maintain extensive contact with employers, training providers, educational institutions, community service organisations and other health professionals
Skills & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications including relevant professional registration as required and/or experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, career development or a related field
* Extensive knowledge of issues that impact consumers when accessing employment and/or educational opportunities
* Demonstrated understanding of issues affecting the health and wellbeing needs of people with mental health and/or substance use problems
* Experience developing good business relationships
