The Parole Officer will work closely with our team to support the transition process from imprisonment into the community, prioritizing community safety above all else. This involves conducting suitability assessments for prisoners applying for parole, supervising and monitoring complex and high-profile cases, and implementing case management strategies to reduce reoffending.
Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting thorough suitability assessments for prisoners seeking parole
* Providing close supervision and monitoring of complex and high-profile cases
* Applying evidence-based case management principles to minimize recidivism
* Identifying risk escalation behaviors and collaborating with managerial staff to respond effectively
* Interviewing and assessing prisoners on parole to produce comprehensive reports
* Referring prisoners to relevant programs and services to promote successful reintegration
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to think critically, and possess a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable populations.
