Description
You will be required to exercise autonomy and provide professional expertise in:
- Effectively managing the day-to-day logistical operation of the road jet patching team to ensure works activities are completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Supervise and motivate a small team of staff to carry out tasks including but not limited to road maintenance.
You Will Have
We are seeking candidates that take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, are punctual, reliable, hardworking, and able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The candidate will bring the following to the role:
- Certificate IV Civil Construction, or an equivalent qualification or considerable working experience.
- Proven experience in the organisation, supervision, motivation, and performance management of operational staff.
- Demonstrated initiative, a flexible and proactive approach and enthusiasm including a willingness to respond to an ever-changing work environment.
- Traffic Control Certification in Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control Plans.
- Sound computer skills with experience in the use of email, spreadsheets, word processing and databases.
- Previous experience in operating and maintaining a road patching vehicle and equipment.
- Proven written and oral communication skills in communicating with staff, supervisors and the general public when required.
- Sound knowledge and commitment to Workplace Health and Safety and Equal Employment Opportunities principles.
- Construction Induction Certificate (White Card).
- Class HR Licence.
Remuneration
base salary commencing at $76,426 gross per annum
- Adverse working conditions allowance of $1,035 per annum
- 12% superannuation
- Performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
- Annual award increase.
