Description
This is an exciting opportunity to step into the senior leadership role of Service Manager – West Kimberley, providing operational and strategic guidance to deliver high‐quality, professional, timely and culturally appropriate services for children, young people, individuals, families and communities across the region. You will lead Pilbara service teams in trauma‐informed, person‐centred delivery aligned with Anglicare WA's vision of a just and fair Western Australia where everyone can thrive.
Reporting to the General Manager – Regional North Services, you will inspire a diverse team across multiple sites, fostering an inclusive culture focused on staff well‐being, recruitment, onboarding, supervision and professional development. You will collaborate closely with Aboriginal‐led organisations, Police, the Department of Communities, WAPHA, the Department of Health and other stakeholders to build trusted partnerships and co‐design responsive local services. This is a full‐time (37.5 hours per week – 1.0 FTE) permanent position based in Broome.
Skills and Experiences
* Demonstrated experience in effectively leading geographically dispersed teams
* Ability to articulate personal strategies and boundaries to ensure resilience and well‐being, especially when facing challenging day‐to‐day work
* Relevant tertiary qualifications or significant demonstrated relevant experience
* Ability to be innovative and flexible
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and work effectively under pressure
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
* Skills in work planning and coordination of resources to respond to service needs promptly
* Capacity to manage programme budgets
* Demonstrated expertise preparing and contributing to tender grants and funding applications
* Well‐developed knowledge of the community services sector, including government and not‐for‐profit organisations
Desirable
* Demonstrated understanding of the funding landscape in the West Kimberley and the ability to apply this knowledge to identify opportunities for growth
* Experience in private practice settings
* Experience in the not‐for‐profit/non‐government sector
Requirements
The successful candidate must possess a current National Police Clearance valid within one year, a WA Driver's Licence and a current WA Working with Children Check.
