About the position
This position is for a postdoctoral research officer who will contribute significantly to advancing research excellence in close collaboration with industry. The successful candidate will lead research activities within the Advanced Polymer and Composite Materials Laboratory in the Kong research group, working closely with industry partners and other postdoctoral researchers and HDR students in the Kong group.
Skills and Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have;
* Completion of a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* Direct experience in air management technologies, including understanding of air‐liquid interactions, bubble formation and methods to control or remove unwanted air in industrial processes.
* Knowledge of fluid dynamics, multiphase flow and rheology, and their relevance to manufacturing process optimisation.
* Evidence of research experience and problem‐solving ability, with the capability to work effectively under limited supervision or independently.
* Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with industry partners, researchers and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
* Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a collaborative, multidisciplinary research team.
* Familiar with industrial manufacturing processes relevant to polymer processing or materials engineering.
