Service Technician - Building Management and Security

The Opportunity

Schneider Electric's Digital Buildings business is shifting the needle in how we support our customers to maximize their energy efficiency. We have an exciting opportunity for a dual Building Management System (BMS) and Security Service Technician to represent us in Alice Springs, NT.

Reporting directly to the Regional Service Manager, our Service Technicians are uniquely placed as technical partners to our customers. They range from Defence to Shopping Centres and Commercial Buildings, with a significant focus on Healthcare, particularly hospitals.

Our technicians are passionate about partnering with our customers to improve their businesses, focusing on driving better energy and security solutions.

* Manage the breakdown and maintenance of Electronic Security Systems & Building Management Systems.
* Support the installation, programming, and commissioning of new and expanded Electronic Security Systems.
* Demonstrate a high knowledge of products to constantly suggest improvements to our customers.
* Ensure excellent service delivery within budget and time constraints.
* Practice a high degree of safety awareness to meet onsite safety requirements.

Participate in on-call duties, where you may need to work after hours. On-call allowance and overtime payments apply where applicable.

Experience with installation, programming, commissioning, maintenance, and fault-finding of various Electronic Security and Access Control systems, Buildings Management Systems, IP Networking, and Video Management Systems is required.

Proven record of high-quality work complemented with solid experience in troubleshooting, fault-finding, and effective resolutions is essential.

* A full unrestricted Electrical License (A-Grade) is mandatory.
* A current Security License and Driver's License must be held.
* Technically skilled in Electrical or Mechanical HVAC or Instrumentation or Controls is necessary.
* Knowledgeable in building management, access control, and video management systems is preferred.
* IT proficiency with fault-finding experience and knowledge of network routers, switches, and network hardware is desirable.

Strong problem-solving skills, collaborative attitude, forward-thinking approach, innovative ideas, and a willingness to share suggestions for continuous improvement are key characteristics for this role.
