Role
The primary purpose of the role is to be responsible for the administration and processing of the Company's payroll and all associated tasks. This role is also responsible for assisting the People Team with remuneration and benefits and administering the HRIS.
Key Responsibilities
* Process complex payroll across rosters and shift arrangements in Pronto
* Deliver high-quality customer service to employees, offering advice and resolving workplace queries or concerns
* Maintain compliance with payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and other statutory obligations
* Administer employee benefits, reward programs, and STIP (Short-Term Incentive Plans)
* Act as HRIS administrator (Action HRM), resolving queries and implementing improvements
* Prepare accurate and timely reports
* Assist in onboarding, documentation, and employee data integrity
* Administer and liaise with superannuation, insurance and other employee benefit providers
* Support the People team with the administration of incentives and other variable payments
What You'll Bring
* Cert IV in Business/Accounting or extensive payroll experience in complex environments
* Minimum 5 years? in a similar payroll position (mining/resources/engineering preferred)
* Extensive experience in Pronto Payroll
* Proficiency in HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., Action HRM) and strong Excel skills
* In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and awards
* Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Strong communication skills and a collaborative, can-do attitude
