About the role
You will work with Australian expats across the globe, navigating complex tax residency, property, investment funds and cross-border issues. You’ll be solving problems that matter to real people and making a tangible impact on their financial outcomes.
Depending on your level of experience, responsibilities may include:
- Preparing and reviewing income tax returns and related advice.
- Assisting with cross-border tax residency and CGT matters.
- Managing client relationships across multiple jurisdictions.
- Coaching junior staff and contributing to process improvement (Manager level).
- Holding introductory calls and advisory calls with clients (Manager level).
About you
You are motivated, curious, and eager to master a niche area of tax. You want to work in a supportive environment where your input is valued and your growth is accelerated.
You must have:
- At least a baseline of tax experience (individuals, companies or trusts).
- A minimum standard myGovID (myID) strength with the ATO or ability to obtain.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, client-focused work.
- Technical proficiency and competency with technology, particularly with Excel, Xero, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- A strong desire to learn and specialise in expatriate tax.
It’s a bonus if you have:
- CA / CPA qualifications (or working towards them).
- Experience in cross-border or international tax.
- Exposure to high-net-worth or expat clients.
