We have an opportunity for a Glass & Glazing Apprentice where over time you will become a core member of our Townsville Windows and Doors team. About G. James G. The Opportunity As a Glass & Glazing Apprentice, you’ll gain the trade skills and experience needed to become a qualified glazier. Your training will combine on-the-job experience with skilled tradespeople and formal learning through TAFE. During your apprenticeship, you’ll gain experience in: Glass skills – safe handling, moving, and cutting (manual and machine-based) Residential fabrication – fabricating and assembling a wide range of windows, doors, and screens, including aluminium frame processing Residential glazing – glazing, re-glazing, and installing windows, doors, screens, shower screens, mirrors, and glass splashbacks Commercial glazing – installing and re-glazing structural and commercial products About You We are seeking enthusiastic candidates who: Have a genuine interest in the manufacturing/construction industry Enjoy hands-on work and developing practical trade skills Possess strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Can work effectively with a wide range of people Hold a current driver’s licence and own vehicle Are willing to travel to Brisbane for TAFE block training The Benefits Full-time permanent position with ongoing tradesperson position Above award EBA rates and provisions 38 hours/week with monthly paid rostered day off (RDO) Training and supervision from experience tradespeople Uniforms, PPE and safety boots provided Health insurance benefits - 7% discount with BUPA Access to Employee Assistance Program - Telus Health Excellent employment conditions, training, stability and a commitment to career advancement for enthusiastic and motivated people - come learn from the best in our business.
