Your opportunity We are seeking a Trade Centre Manager to join our Lincoln Sentry Trade Centre in Newcastle. As a Trade Centre Manager, you will oversee the efficient operation of the centre, focusing on customer service, staff management, and sales. Your daily tasks will involve working closely with our dedicated team on the shop floor—selling and promoting our products to meet sales targets. The role is 38 hours per week, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, with Fridays finishing at 2 pm. You will use your skills to ensure a seamless customer experience, covering activities such as: Responsibilities Leading a team of trade sales staff, providing ongoing training and support Managing day-to-day trade centre and warehousing operations Trade counter sales and customer service Inventory control, stock management, merchandising, marketing activities, and improving customer service standards Participating in cycle counts and stock takes Proactively supporting safety and sustainability initiatives Financial management of the branch, including full P&L responsibilities What You’ll Bring This busy role requires reliability, commitment, and attention to detail. As a proactive team leader, you’ll quickly adapt and maximize your team’s potential. Ability to work well within a team, focusing on servicing existing business relationships Developing new business opportunities Strong customer service skills Warehousing experience/knowledge is essential Good physical fitness and ability to lift up to 20 kg occasionally High numeracy skills and strong attention to detail Good computer skills; knowledge of SAP is advantageous Most importantly, you are committed to doing quality work, working collaboratively with trustworthy colleagues.
